About

We are delighted to have Prof Quinlivan back in our clinic. She will have a weekly Gynaecology clinic on Thursdays. In addition to general gynaecology patients, she specifically also receives paediatric and adolescent patients.

Clinical Professor Julie Quinlivan has published nearly 300 research articles, conference proceedings, textbook chapters and books in women’s health. She has taught medical students, junior hospital doctors and training specialists in many areas including the management of paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual problems, menopause, vulval and vaginal disease, and sexual dysfunction.

Professor Quinlivan is the editor in chief of the high-profile UK publication the Journal of Pyschosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is a member of the editorial boards of several other journals including the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Professor Quinlivan utilises the biopsychosocial model of management for endometriosis and for improving quality of life in adolescent gynaecology patients. She is a member of the Australian Menopause Society and sits on several RANZCOG committees. She offers known gap surgery at Barton Private Hospital with some exception and has referral pathways for patients to her colleagues in the public sector.
